How to Ship

Here are three easy methods for shipping a package!

USPS In-Store Method:

  1. Prepare Your Package:

    • Package your item securely in a suitable box or envelope, ensuring it is well-protected during transit.

  2. Visit a USPS Post Office:

    • Locate the nearest USPS Post Office branch.

    • Bring your packaged item along with you to the Post Office.

  3. Request Assistance:

    • Upon arrival at the Post Office, approach the counter and request assistance from a USPS clerk.

  4. Provide Shipment Details:

    • Inform the clerk of your request to ship a package and provide them with your address as well as the destination address (Miracle Gross 48 West Tyler Street Room 203 Hampton, VA 23668)

    • The clerk will weigh your package and determine the shipping cost based on the weight and delivery speed selected.

  5. Select Shipping Service:

    • Based on your preferences and the destination, the clerk will help you choose the appropriate USPS shipping service.

  6. Purchase Shipping Label & Pay for Shipping

    • The clerk will print the shipping label for your package and affix it to the parcel.

    • Pay for the shipping costs at the counter using cash, credit/debit card, or any other accepted payment method.

  7. Receive Receipt:

    • Once the transaction is complete, the clerk will provide you with a receipt as proof of postage.

    • Please hold on to your receipt as it has the tracking number! Ask the clerk to locate the tracking number on the receipt if you cannot find it. (This is necessary for when you fill out the “I Donated” form.)

  8. Drop Off Package:

    • Place your package on the designated drop-off area or hand it over to the clerk for processing.

Pirate Ship Method:

  1. Prepare Your Package:

    • Purchase a sturdy box that fits your item from stores like CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc.

    • Seal the package securely with packing tape.

  2. Visit Pirate Ship Website:

    • Go to the Pirate Ship website (pirateship.com) and create an account if you haven't already.

    • Click the “create new label” button.

  3. Weigh Your Package:

    • Use a kitchen scale or postal scale to accurately weigh your package.

    • Record the weight in ounces and pounds.

  4. Measure Your Package:

    • Measure the length, width, and height of your box in inches.

    • Record the dimensions.

  5. Enter Shipment Details:

    • Input the weight and dimensions of your package into the Pirate Ship shipping calculator.

  6. Select Shipping Service:

    • Choose the desired shipping service based on delivery speed and cost.

  7. Purchase Shipping Label:

    • Pay for the shipping label using a credit card or PayPal.

    • Print the shipping label provided by Pirate Ship.

    • The tracking number will be available on Pirate Ship.

  8. Attach Label to Package:

    • Tape the printed shipping label securely to the package using clear packing tape.

  9. Drop Off or Schedule Pickup:

    • Take your package to a designated drop-off location (USPS or UPS) or schedule a pickup through Pirate Ship if available.

UPS In-Store Method:
